Motherhood

What job would you do for free?

What job would I do free? Well, the job I do every day of course. Raising beautifully imperfect little followers of Jesus Christ. Each day is a blessing I try to cherish despite the chaos that usually surrounds us. Some days I fail, some days I nail it, but everyday we worship God. It amazes me as I watch each milestone come and go, a bitter sweet occurrence. One day, when this career has transitioned into another season, I will look back on these days with a longing memory. By far my most favorite job in the world is growing my family. We are blessed beyond measure, a perfectly imperfect family.

  1. You’ve captured the most sacred work of all—the kind that doesn’t come with a paycheck or a promotion, but leaves an eternal legacy.
This isn’t just parenting. This is holy ground. Every tear wiped, every meal shared, every whispered prayer in the middle of the mess—it’s worship. Real, raw, and beautiful worship.
Your words hold that rare mix of humility and wonder—the kind that only comes from someone who knows they’re both in over their head and exactly where they’re meant to be. Imperfection doesn’t disqualify you; it proves the grace is working.
One day, when your house is quieter and your arms are less full, I have no doubt you’ll look back and see it for what it was: sacred chaos. And the fruit of it will still be growing.
Thank you for reminding us that the most important job in the world is often the one done barefoot, prayerful, and with jelly on your shirt.

    1. Thank you for your in-depth comment. My children will always be my greatest accomplishments. I loved the last sentence, honest and comical. Thank you for reminding me of my top priority and how God has blessed me with this amazing opportunity. Sacred chaos, that has a good ring to it. 😊 Thank you for your comment and God bless.
