Every room in a house has a purpose, but which one is superior to all others? Some would say the living room, that is where family gathers and memories are made. Others will say the bedroom, the one place they can find peace and tranquility. For me, I favor the kitchen.
The Kitchen
I can recall countless hours that I have labored in my kitchen. Whether I was a newlywed packing my husband’s lunch for work, then balancing the checkbook at the end of the day. Or a seasoned mom working full time and preparing three meals a day, my life revolves around the kitchen. Nevertheless, all hours I devote are a labor of immeasurable love. Love that I pour into my family each and every day. Some days are an absolute failure, and others, a joyful triumph, but all days start and end in the kitchen.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served without fail and many times my children help, creating lasting memories and unforgettable life skills. Skills that I hope one day will be cherished and passed along to their children. Holiday meals and birthday surprises, every special occasion involves the kitchen in one way or another. Every plate and every cup, has their own story to tell, and if they could talk they would talk for hours.
Beyond the meals, the kitchen always serves as a perfect place to do hobbies. I often have fun paint lessons and sparkly creations, 3D puzzles and lego kits half assembles. There is always some sort of project going on in the background. Then you have the vitamin cabinet that can contain anything from a bandaid to a binder clip, from hair ties to Tylenol. Anything you could need in a pinch. I guess I am trying to say I like my kitchen because it’s a lot like me, bursting with love, unwavering , and versatility.
Everyone has their favorite spot in their home, their go to spot to relax and unwind. Some even go above and beyond to create man caves and she sheds. Others find solace in the nooks and crannies they transform into reflections of themselves. I prefer my kitchen, which touches every aspect of my life. Thanks for reading and God bless.

Stirring Up Love, Chaos, and Maybe a Little Food Poisoning
Ah, the kitchen—the sacred temple where dreams are baked, calories are ignored, and salmonella lurks just one undercooked chicken away. Some folks bond with their families over vacations or game nights, but here, it’s all about bonding over who left the cap off the peanut butter again.
And let’s not ignore the magic cabinet—a vitamin stash that could either save your life or accidentally launch you into a craft project because you mistook a glue stick for Chapstick. Truly, nothing says “home” quite like eating spaghetti next to a half-finished 3D Death Star puzzle and realizing you used glitter glue instead of marinara sauce.
Honestly, kitchens are the original “multi-hyphenate” influencers. Chef station? Yep. Pharmacy? Yep. Impromptu art studio/mad science lab? Absolutely. If your kitchen isn’t slightly threatening your safety and sanity while simultaneously feeding your soul, are you even doing it right?
