What is a friend, other than someone to mend, a whole left by another too careless to tend.
Someone to hold close like a nostalgic memory.
Someone to talk to when surrounded by enemies.
Someone to whisper and confide.
Someone to discuss and let ideas collide.
A true friend doesn’t care about the passage of time or if you only have a dime.
They don’t mind standing by your side through troubled times. Or give you a thousand reasons why.
A friend’s love is worth more than its weight in gold. More valuable than all the money you can hold.
Great ones only come once or twice.
Always shining a light and carrying great advice.
If you have one, be grateful for such
treasure. For not all have the pleasure.
To say they have a true friend
that will be with them till the end.
