I can make up stories.
I can make up lies.
I can scream them from the tallest tree in the sky.
I want attention, wont you look at me,
Way way way up here in the tree.
I yell and yak, I make a lot of noise.
I lack common decency and was not taught poise.
My neighbors hate me, they say my voice annoys.
But what is life, if not filled with joys.
I hide in disguise, you’ll never see my face.
You will never know my exact place.
Amongst the trees, way up high in the sky,
I make up lies and tell all those who fly.
I’m not a bird, I’m a thousand animals in disguise.
Don’t believe me? Look again, I’m not in the sky.
In fact, I can barely fly.
I like to use the ground to hide.
Here I can take cover and spy
on any passer-by.
Then decide whether to give them a fright
with my little voice that has great might.
Who am I?
The Lyre Bird of corse! This fascinated land dwelling bird has a voice like no other. Able to mimic any sound they hear, these special little feathered friends have quite an amazing talent!
