Whispers of Remembrance

To my beautiful daughters,

In a world full of evil at every turn.
Don’t forget the wisdom you have learned.

Remember to put God at the center of all you do.
No matter what He will bring you through.

God gives you discernment for you to use.
Sometimes that means some we lose.

Count your blessings each and every day.
If none can be found, remember the air in your lungs and the words you can say.


Do not dress to promote promiscuity.
That kind of attention you will never need.
Leave it for your soon to be husband to see.
Strive for honor and grace to achieve.
You do not have to be what you see,
dress modestly.

Many suitors will come asking for your hand.
Make sure it fits into God’s plan.

Just any many will never do.
So trust in God to see it through.

This my children, is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
One that will be your children’s to take.

Friends come and go but true ones remain.
The wrong ones, your energy they will drain.
It is important to know the difference sometimes they look the same.
Time will tell and it will be plain.
Some are there only in vain.

Have a heart for those in need.
But don’t make the mistake of being naive.
Some will take advantage of generosity. 


What you consume will become a part of you.
I do not mean just food.
What you hear and see will too.
So be mindful of what you consume.

Stay true to yourself and speak kind words to your mind.
Negative thoughts will grow and define.

Time does not flow in a line.
A ticking clock was made by design.
So don’t forget who hung the stars in the sky.
The one who existed before time.

I will not always be here to guide the way.
So I am left to write the words I can say.

So that one day they might be read.
Still here reminding you of all I said.
