A great break down of the first Earth age by Jesse Sisk
The First Earth Age
Ezekiel 28:12-19 teaches us about Satan’s original rebellion. Understanding this rebellion is absolutely essential to understanding God’s Word. Satan was already evil in the Garden of Eden in Genesis ch. 3. We know from Revelation 12:9 that the serpent is simply one of Satan’s names. But there was a time when Satan was actually a loyal servant of God. He is described in Ezekiel 28:12 as “full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.” We are given more details in Ezekiel 28:14-15, which says, “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”
We learn in Revelation 12:4 that Satan convinced a third of God’s children to follow him at that time! Everyone was in spiritual bodies in the first earth age. However because of this rebellion, God destroyed that dispensation of time, and brought about this second earth age that we are in now, where we are born into these flesh bodies. Everyone is given a fresh start, and are given the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and receive eternal life.
There was a small group in the first earth age that stood completely against Satan. They are known as God’s elect. They are spoken of in Ephesians 1:4, which reads, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” More information about them is given in Romans 8:28-33. The elect have a destiny. Satan has wanted to be God ever since he rebelled in the first earth age. Isaiah 14:12-15, Revelation 12:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, and many other Scriptures teach us that the time is going to come when Satan is going to arrive on earth disguised as Christ, claiming to be Christ. Through the incredible miracles he will perform, he will convince almost the entire world that he is God. This deception will happen before we are reunited with Jesus Christ.
But the elect will not be deceived. They stood against Satan in the first earth age, therefore God chose them to stand against Satan again when he arrives on earth as the false Christ. We learn in Mark 13:9-11 that the destiny of the elect is to be delivered up at that time, and allow The Holy Spirit to speak through them for a testimony to the world. What an incredible honor. Mark 13:20-22 says, “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” The true elect will not deceived, but Satan’s deception as the false Christ is so convincing that if God did not shorten the time, even they would be deceived. Wait on the True Christ to return. Do not be deceived by the false.
