My World

My world

I close my eyes and I go into another dimension.
The real world is held in suspension.

Anything thing can happen, any thing can be,
all I have to do is let my mind run free.

A break from the everyday race,
here I can go at my own pace.

I take a breath and step away.
I take another drink, what can I say?

My reality is paused,
my new world is what I have caused

Total silence and bliss
and I don’t focus on things I’ve missed.
Time is not a factor to hold me back
and I don’t see the things I lack.

I just focus on what makes me smile,
But I can only stay for a little while.
Once again lost in my mind,
wondering what this time I might find.

Will my mind go back to my younger days,
when my brother was a phone call away?

Or to an unwritten chapter
that has ever possible factors.

Will I see my kids so sweet and tiny,
or think of their future, one day without me?

Where I go is not really a concern,
as long as I remember to return.

Because one day those stars will align.
Things will fall into place by design,
Because I am little miss sunshine.
