What do you do to be involved in the community?
I would love to say I volunteer at my local animal shelter. Or often read to the seniors at the senior center. It would be awesome if I could say I own a high clean up or community service job, but I don’t. In reality I don’t do much for my community other than shopping at local small shops and donating unwanted items. I homeschool in the morning and work in the evenings, I usually don’t have time to work in the community as my hands are full already daily.

“Community Work? I Live in It.”
As a carer, I don’t have time for fancy committees or bake sales — my community involvement looks more like crisis management with a kettle. I’m the local parcel collector, kid-wrangler, and emergency ear when someone’s had a meltdown over bins or bad weather.
Scottish folk? We’re naturally helpful. It’s in the blood — like Irn-Bru and suspicion of change. A few bad eggs, sure, but we know who they are… and even they’ve got a bit of soul under the grump.
I don’t volunteer for charity. I am the charity.

What do I do to be involved in the community… all I really do is volunteer at my library to help plan programs and make book displays. It’s pretty fun, but definitely not as impactful as volunteering at a soup kitchen or reading to the elderly, which I too wish I did. Oh well, being at the library is fun for me!
