Hold Me Tight

Glass Dip Pen

I enjoy writing by hand and prefer it over typing. I especially enjoy a good glass dip pens but I have only used mine a handful of times. It is simply a huge task to undertake with small children running around and I really hate cleaning up ink. I like writing in cursive and print and usually have a mixture when I do write. While my handwriting is not perfect I really enjoyed writing this poem in the few moments I got to myself last weekend.

Thanks for reading and God bless!

Hold Me Tight

Hold me tight as we pass through this storm.
One day this won’t be our norm.

Show me you want to fight,
but not over who’s right.

Our love can endure.
I know this for sure.

I just need you to hold me tight
until everything is alright.

Whisper quietly in my ear,
all the things I need to hear.

Be the anchor that holds me tight.
Don’t let me drift away into the night.

Every year a testimony of truth.
How could you need more proof?

Come near, won’t you dear
and hold me through the night,
as we continue to fight.

Something in me won’t give in.
I remember where we have been.

Funny how time blurs
and often stirs.

Long lost days
all in a haze.

yet some are nigh
like the night sky.

Hold me tight and calm my fright.
While we Wait on our worries to be hindsight

One day this will end
and our new lives will begin.
Until then my friend,
I am with you till the end.
