How important is spirituality in your life?
How important is spirituality in my life? About as important as luck, superstitions and karma, they are irrelevant. I am a follower of Christ which is a reality and a lifestyle. Anytime I have spoken to individuals about spirituality it was a concept in which the one true God has been replaced with cosmos and the universe. God is covered by a broad term expressing that something is a higher power and life is an individual search for peace, meaning and purpose. The Bible tell us everything we need to know about how to find our peace, meaning and purpose. The Living Word revels how the cosmos and the universe was made. He even tells us about astrology, then some twist His words into horoscopes and fortune telling. It seems to me like spirituality is just a way to avoid accountability and what is expected of us as children of God.

I don’t look to God for support, but I do believe in living with intention, responsibility, and moral clarity. For me, those things come from within — shaped by reason, experience, and the recognition that our choices have real consequences. I don’t rely on a higher power to give meaning or guidance, but I still value structure, honesty, and the discipline of living by a consistent code.
I respect that your faith in Christ isn’t just belief — it’s a reality and a way of life. I agree that vague spirituality often dilutes accountability, replacing clear direction with feel-good abstractions like “the universe” or “energy.” It asks less of us. What you’ve chosen asks more — and whether or not we share the same foundation, I think there’s truth in choosing to live with depth and purpose, rather than drifting in whatever feels comforting.

I agree completely. We may nice see eye to eye on all perspectives but regardless whether their is a God or not we all should have some moral guidance. I respect your decision to not look for God for guidance. There can be truth in choosing to live with depth and purpose rather than drifting to comforablitiy. I wish more of those who choose not to belive in God would have your mindset. It would be a better world. I would never wish to force my beliefs on anyone for, if one is not willing, the process will be fruitless at best. Thank you for commenting and sharing your views.
